    Get PDF
The single-valued neutrosophic set plays a crucial role to handle indeterminant and inconsistent information during decision making process. In recent research, a development in neutrosophic theory is emerged, called single-valued neutrosophic matrices, are used to address uncertainties. The beauty of single-valued neutrosophic matrices is that the utilizing of several fruitful operations in decision making

Rough set was defined by Pawlak in 1982. Concept of soft set was proposed as a mathematical tool to cope with uncertainty and vagueness by Molodtsov in 1999. Soft sets were combined with rough sets by Feng et al. in 2011. Feng et al. investigated relationships between a subset of initial universe of soft set and a soft set. Feng et al. defined the upper and lower approximations of a subset of initial universe over a soft set. In this study, we firstly define concept of soft class and soft class operations such as union, intersection, and complement. Then we give some properties of soft class operations. Based on definition and operations of soft classes, we define lower and upper approximations of a soft set. Subsequently, we introduce concept of soft rough class and investigate some properties of soft rough classes. Moreover, we give a novel decision making method based on soft class and present an example related to novel method

Gaussian single-valued neutrosophic numbers and its application in multi-attribute decision making

The fuzzy set and intuitionistic fuzzy set are two useful mathematical tool for dealing with impression and uncertainty. However sometimes these theories may not suffice to model indeterminate and inconsistent information encountered in real world. To overcome this insufficiency, neutrosophic set theory and single-valued neutrosophic set (SVNS) theory which is useful in practical applications, were proposed. Many researchers have studied on single-valued triangular neutrosophic numbers and single-valued trapezoidal neutrosophic numbers. In this paper, concepts of Gaussian single-valued neutrosophic number (GSVNN), α-cut of a GSVNN and parametric form of a GSVNN are defined, and based on α-cuts of GSVNNs, arithmetic operations for GSVNNs are defined. Also, some results are obtained related to arithmetic operations of GSVNNs. Furthermore, a decision making algorithm is developed by using GSVNNs operations, and its an application in medical diagnosis is given

Some aspects of mass-energy equivalence which appears in left-handed metamaterials

    Get PDF
In this work, the concept of mass-energy equivalence in left-handed metamaterials is discussed by following Einstein's box thought experiment. Left-handed metamaterials are artificial composite structures that exhibit unusual properties, especially negative refractive index, in which phase and group velocities are directed oppositely. Equation E = mc2 assumes that, in vacuum, the propagation of an electromagnetic radiation from emitter to receiver is accompanied by the transfer of mass. It was hypothesized previously that if the space between emitter and receiver is medium with a negative refractive index, then radiation transfers the mass not from the emitter to receiver as expected, but rather from the receiver to the emitter due to the opposite directions of phase and group velocities. In this paper, it is shown that even though one radiating atom is taken, the negative mass transferring must be in force. In particular, it means that, if the atom radiates a photon in a medium with negative refractive index, photon transfers the mass not from the atom, but to the atom

    Fuzzy congruences on AG-group

In this paper, we establish the idea of fuzzy congruences on Abel-Grassmann's group (AG-group). We investigate different outcomes of fuzzy-congruences on AG-groups in detail and give some examples to illustrate the newly established results. We develop the relation between fuzzy congruence and fuzzy normal subgroup. In the end, we also provide some results of fuzzy homomorphism on AG-groups

Octagonal Shaped Metamaterial Absorber Based Energy Harvester

In this study, a novel octagonal shaped metamaterial based broadband absorber is proposed for energy harvesting at WIMAX wireless communication band. The proposal has an absorption of 99.97 % at 5.5 GHz with a bandwidth of 1 GHz between 5 GHz and 6 GHz in Transverse Electric (TE) mode. Transverse Electric (TE), Transverse Magnetic (TM) and Transverse Electromagnetic (TEM) modes are studied numerically in this paper. In TM and TEM modes, proposed structure has absorption of nearly 96 % and 98 % respectively at 6 GHz. The proposed structure is polarization angle independent which is important for energy harvesting applications. Energy harvesting application is realized by using resistive loads on the design, simulations are parametrically studied on resistive loads and experimental study is realized for reflection coefficient measurement and compared with simulated results. Both experimental and simulated results are complying with each other. The proposed structure has different usage areas in stealth areas, detection and imaging.
